~WINTER~
Winter lies upon the floor
dreaming sweet, a kitty snore,
curled up in a fuzzy ball,
drooling 'bout a mouse's paw.
Milk fluff coat upon her back,
on tip of tail one spot of black.
Winter cuddles in my lap,
drifting upon a kitty nap.
Rhythm rises, purrs a plenty,
through her belly, rapping gently.
Her whiskers twitch in sync with beat.
To my ears a soothing treat.
Winter pounces sunlit dust balls,
batting them with snow-white paws.
One lands on her button nose,
sneezing, she strikes a funny pose.
I could not love my Winter more.
From ear to tail it's her I adore.
She brings much love and laughter galore
That's what kitten-cats are for.
