A tiny ball of hair,
Flew through the air from nowhere,
And landed on my chair.
He started on the headrest
Then slid down to my lap.
He settled on the book I held
Where he planned to take a nap.
I sighed at this disturbance
And I gave him such a look.
"Get down you little nuisance,"
And I nudged him off my book.
He sat down on the carpet
And laid a paw upon my leg.
We stared at one another
But his eyes just seemed to beg.
"Oh, get up here, doggone it,
And not another peep."
He jumped back up, the book was closed
And soon we were asleep
